Bonnie Blue Rescue is an animal rescue group registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Our main goal is to save unwanted and "left behind" dogs from the tragic end that almost always come from life in kill shelters. We want to give them a second chance and place them into loving, forever homes.

What You Need to Know: Adopting

This is a common sentence boldly exclaimed by dog owners. Adopting a dog from a shelter or rescue group is the best thing you can do for yourself and an unwanted pet. You give a dog another chance to love and be loved. A scratch behind the ears, a kind word and a loving home is immeasurable to a dog that has known none of these things.

little Murphy!

Murphy is one of BBR's adorable 4 month old Catahoula boys and is currently in foster care in Connecticut. Little Murphy broke loose from his foster family and was sadly trampled by a horse. He is at the vet now receiving emergency care and BBR needs help fundraising for his care!

Her foster mom reports that she gets along so well with the family's other lab. They cuddle and lick each other and play! Noel is such a little sweetheart.

He is just the happiest guy around and his foster mom cannot say enough good things about him! Barney's joy is contagious and anyone who is around him will fall in love.
